Planning: Film Schedule

In order to have a successful film project, it is essential to organize tasks and your time very well.
I have done this by organizing tasks into different colors, pink meaning very critical and amber     meaning less critical. This has allowed me to realize which tasks are the most important and how much time I should spend on each of them.

Planning: Risk Assessment

In order to ensure that the filming of my biopic runs safely, I need to think about the possible hazards that could arise during the filming of my short-film biopic. I have done this through a risk assessment commenting on what I can do to prevent or lessen risks/hazards that could happen during each part of filming my short-film biopic.

Planning: Call Sheet

Call sheet running through the filming days of my short film biopic (4th Nov - 11th Nov) but the dates can be subject change depending on which days my chosen actors are available to be filmed and act for my short film. This table also runs through the start and end times for each filming day and what goals need to be achieved on each filming day in the specified time frame or however long it takes to film each part of the biopic. It also mentions the main actor playing the role of protagonist and what roles need to be filmed by suitable actors; however, some real-life footballers will be imposed on real-life stadiums as well as my actual actors. This will allow me to produce a realistic and believable biopic while following the structure of my call sheet but at the same time trying to be flexible with filming days and times depending on availability of actors.

Planning: Scene 2 Location Stills Storyboard

This is a storyboard made in Comic Life showcasing stills of the location that will appear in the 2nd
scene of my short film biopic. This will help me understand where to position my actors
in relation to my setting and what shots of the setting will fit in with the conventions of my chosen genre and the narrative of my short film biopic.

Planning: Updated Storyboard Scene 1

This is my updated storyboard for the first part of my short film biopic about the journey of a young footballer to success as a professional footballer. This storyboard was made using the software Comic Life. I used the camera shots that I filmed for the first scene of my short film biopic as images in my storyboard. This will allow me to think about how to structure my camera shots and edit them in order to produce the first scene of my short film. Below are my camera shots in storyboard form.

Planning: Storyboard

For my storyboard, I had to include the different shots and types of shots that will be included in my short film biopic or trailer and depicting a sequence setting out the basic narrative of my story. I could add extra information and details about the narrative but this may not be necessary at this early stage in the project.

Plannning: Props

For my biopic short film trailer, I will need quite a few props in order to create the situation and setting that I wish to achieve. Some props such as footballs, boots and kits we already have so we only need a few more props or even replacements if the ones we already have become damaged and beyond usage. One of the first props that I will use in this trailer will be a Premier League football to show the journey that the character has made to get to that point. Obviously, it shows that he will be playing in the Premier League as he is playing with the official match ball of the league.

The second prop that will be needed for my short film biopic trailer is a pair of black Adidas football boots which will be worn by the main character. I will have to make sure that I know what the main actor's shoe size is  in order to find a pair of football boots that are the correct size and fit the actor.  I have chosen the boots to be black because I feel that that it would give the character a sense of power and ability. It is also a classic boot colour preferred among many top footballers, therefore, suiting the main character as he may want to emulate his childhood heroes.

The third prop that will be needed for my short film biopic trailer is a Premier League team football kit which will be worn by the main character. I will have to know the main actor's body measurements so I can find a kit that is the correct size and will fit the actor. My preference for the team kit will be the Manchester United strip for this current season (2017/18), however, I may leave it up to the main character if they having a differing preference of football kit to mine.

The fourth prop that will be needed for my short film biopic trailer is some Adidas Premier League kit shorts which will be worn by the main character. I will have to know the body measurements of my chosen actor so I can find shorts that will fit the character in my short biopic film trailer. The preference for my biopic will be Manchester United shorts but if this cannot be done the main actor can wear good quality Adidas shorts.

The 5th prop will be a tracksuit worn by the youth team coach, preferably a different sports brand or still Adidas. This is because the youth coach is more down-to-earth than the manager and is more involved with the young players. I would need to know the body measurements of the actor in order to find a correct sized tracksuit to fit him.

The 6th prop will be a dark suit with black formal shoes worn by the manager of the Premier League team that the main character plays for. The dark and formal costume connotes that he has a lot of power and control at the football club and that he is a manager you don't want to get on the wrong side of. I would need to know the correct body measurements of the actor playing the manager so I can find the best fitting suit to fit the actor.
